// FOOD FOR THOUGHT Welcome to the first edition of a new experiment... a meta-experiment, if you will. Introducing The Sunday Experiment, our new regular newsletter format. Each Sunday, you'll receive a note from me, an experiment to run that day or throughout the week, and a few curated resources I've picked up along the way. The core premise of what we share here is becoming a curious explorer of your internal landscape through simple experimentation. I'm a firm believer in being a scientist of our own experience and moving through life from a place of curious exploration. Hopefully the experiments outlined here and in future weeks will empower you to keep learning and growing. Let's dive in. ~~ You're receiving this because you're an alumni of my flagship program, Nervous System Mastery. If you would prefer not to receive The Sunday Experiment, no problem. You can opt-out here. // FIELD REPORT Why You Keep Over-Reacting with Kelly LevequeI was recently interviewed on the Be Well podcast by Kelly Leveque (listen or watch here). It's my first podcast appearance since becoming a dad, so you can expect insights on how early parenthood has stress-tested everything I teach. We go deep on the human mechanics of emotion: why feelings are meant to move through the body rather than pool into "emotional debt," how to catch the early signs of dysregulation, and the simple breathwork + co-regulation practices that help you respond with more calm, presence, and connection. In this episode, you can expect to learn:
// RUN THIS EXPERIMENT Tip: Your nervous system self-regulates throughout the day using physiological sighs. Every time you naturally let out a deep exhale or ‘sigh,’ it's a sign that your body is downshifting or feels safe to relax. // ET CETERA Read: For a great introduction to living a more experimental life, my friend Anne-Laure wrote a terrific book that I recommend to everyone. Read. Listen: An excellent conversation between Sam Harris and Cameron Berg exploring AI and consciousness. Listen. Explore: My friend Pranab recently launched Attention Copilot, where a nervous-system-somatic-relational-attuned coach sits with you while you work. Explore. // DIVE DEEPER |
